Startups Will Save Us: Capital raising in the climate era
Because the no. 1 challenge is still the money đź’¸
✌️ G’DAY
Welcome to Startups Will Save Us, a newsletter for founders building solutions to the climate crisis and the impact investors who back them, powered by Raaise.
Each week, we’ll share insights from a climate startup on the ups and downs of capital raising in the climate era, including the inside scoop on the one thing they found most helpful on their fundraising journey.
Know anyone who’d find this useful? You know what to do. 👇
🚀 WHAT WE’RE BUILDING:
At Raaise, we think a lot about the most efficient way to get founders the funds they need to scale their climate solutions (no joke, it’s pretty much all we think about). That’s why we’re building a platform jam-packed with useful fundraising tools. Here’s a glimpse of what’s to come:

Over the next few weeks, a select few founders will be testing our beta and telling us about all the things they love and (hopefully, not many) things they don't.Join in the fun!
🎤 EVENTS:
We’ve got heaps of exciting events and partnerships in the pipeline for 2023, starting with the Startups Will Save Us x Allgood Collective Meetup on Monday, 27 February, 7-9PM at the beautiful Allbirds Store in Marylebone, London.
This will be an informal and inspiring gathering with quick pitches, stories, and shared opportunities. All climate-focused founders welcome to share what they're building. Tickets are free, but limited.
Other Events:🇬🇧 22nd Feb: London Climate Connection. 3 Talks, 100 people, All climate. Free.🇬🇧 28th Feb: Climate Collab Breakfast. Talks, networking, workshops & breakfast. From £20.
Got a climate startup event you’d love us to shout about? Let us know.
🚨 WHAT’S CAUGHT OUR ATTENTION:
The Climate Book by Greta Thunberg and 100+ scientists, thinkers and activists (including geophysicists, engineers, historians, philosophers and indigenous leaders), all urging us to do our bit to save our beautiful home, before it’s too late. 💚
